Comments: August I saw you and your wife at the Diabetes Walk on Saturday. I was near the Starbucks coffee handing out shirts to those that had raised $100 or more. Glad to shake your hand. Hope you both had a good time and did not get sick from being out in the rain. I enjoyed being there. I have had many relatives have diabetes. Most are gone. My oldest brother has it now. It is an ugly disease. Hope to see you in another movie. Bettie Deere (Muscogee Creek)

Comments: August (or Augie),
Your portrayal of Sitting Bull is a living tribute to the man whose war was about preserving a culture more than the fine points of warfare. Your dramatic touch created a vigorously realistic image. Thank you for representing the bridge to imagining the spirit and vision of this warrior.
I recently visited LIttle Bighorn. There, I observed the loving tributes made by the Native Americans to their fallen heroes of the resistance. Understanding the essence of the hunter warrior peoples' deeply respectful resistance to ignorant liberties with their culture reaches a great degree of clarity. Along with these images, "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" drives home the true meaning of these peoples' so-called hostility. Thank you.
