I just completed my second viewing of "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee." It was much more intense than the first! My only disappointment is with the speed with which it was delivered. I certainly wish that HBO had tackled this story like they did "Band of Brothers." The slow and deliberate telling of this historic tragedy would have been much more revealing of the devastating treatment of the Lakota people. I, for one, am overwhelmed.

I must tell you that your portrayal of the Great Chief Sitting Bull (for the second time in your career) was again inspiring and incredible. Your intensity was amazing. You created the entire mood for this film and provided it worth and substance. Thank you. Bravo.

After a long wait to see the HBO premiere of "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee", all I have to say is Mr. Schellenberg's portraly of Sitting Bull was utterly breathtaking. My only wish would have been that HBO had made a mini-series instead of a two hour movie because the legend of Tatanka Iyotanka deserves far more attention in American History than was granted by the filmakers. I was a big fan of the "Centennial" series when I was a teenager and even with it's speed of delivery "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" very much reminded me of that great series, mostly in part to Mr. Schellenberg's outstanding performance.

I just finished watching the premiere of "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee". Thank you, Mr. Schellenberg. Thank you for showing us Chief Sitting Bull not simply as a legend, but as a real man. You showed us that he was not without his faults, but that he tried to do right by his people despite facing truly terrible choices.
You really are a great actor. Thanks very, very much.
