I saw "The New World" and was incredibly impressed with what an accurate depiction of Algonquian Indians there was.  I am a descendant of Powhatan and have done a lot of reading about the period and the tribe.  Although, I'm no expert, kudos to the director for giving such an accurate portrayal of the Indians, even if the depiction of the "romance" was a bit distorted, to say the least.
