So very sorry to hear about the passing of August Schellenberg. I have loved everything I have seen him in. His talent was amazing. He was a wonderful teacher & role model. I stand a little taller as a Metis woman because he was someone out there in the public eye, I could relate too. Thank you Mr. Schellenberg and thank you to your family for the sacrifices they made so we could have you on screen. My many condolences to you

My deepest condolences to the Schellenberg family. I had the privilege of knowing August & Joan while serving as their banker in Dallas many years ago. I've enjoyed his work for years and he will be greatly missed.

When I was a child, Free Willy! was one of my favourite movies. I know it may sound childly, but that film totally made a difference in my life. It taught me mercy, honour and love. Thank you, August Schellenberg, you were not just a wonderful actor, but a good teacher as well. You made me a better man, and I'm gladsome for it. I will always remember you.
